What were you thinking Microsoft?

Oh, Microsoft, why are you guys so confused one minute you guys are raising the price of Xbox to live to $120 for a year, then you guys double down on that and announce all free to play games will not require you to have Xbox live. You guys are very inconsistent.

Recently in business insider, Microsoft announced that the Xbox live gold membership would be raising its price to 120$ for the year plan. The internet erupted, begging Microsoft to change the price. On that same day, they changed their mind and were also allowed free to play games to use online features without paying for a subscription.

I thought it was a ridiculous idea for them to raise the price, seeing as though they already have the Game pass and if you get Game pass ultimate, it comes with Xbox live Plus, Game pass for the PC and console, and EA play so you pretty much get an amazing deal for only $15 a month (180 for a year)

It’s not a good idea to do that because while the Game pass is amazing, you guys still don’t have any real exclusive going to push consoles. So yeah, that was pretty stupid, but hey…

Capcom: Fine! I’ll do it myself!

Well, the old saying goes, if you want something done, you do it yourself, and for Capcom, that message ring true because they are overhauling their plans to let M-2 for Resident Evil 4 remake and starting partially over.

According to VGC, apparently, a disagreement between M-2, the guys who worked on the Resident Evil 3 remake, and Capcom lead to Capcom reducing their roles and having Capcom division one come into making the game

Apparently, their disagreement was about what route they should take the Resident Evil 4 remake in. Apparently, M-2 wanted to be extremely faithful to the original game, while Capcom wanted them to spice it up a little bit by staying faithful but adding some new elements. Ultimately Capcom won, and now the game probably won’t be released until 2023

Ultimately I’m happy about this news since Resident Evil 3 remake was my most disappointing game of 2020, not because it was bad, but it didn’t live up to the quality that Resident Evil 2 remake had set. So to hear that the team that was behind Resident Evil 3 is making one of my favorite video games of all time really hurts and made me extremely nervous.

However, now that division one is working on it, which was the same people who did Resident Evil 2 remake, I believe that this project will be good because the Resident Evil 2 remake is a blast to play. It is my third favorite Resident Evil game. However, Capcom does tend to mess up things when they shaved too far from the formula *cough*Resident Evil 6*cough

What happened at the Resident Evil showcase?

Capcom sure knows how to keep people waiting for some new information on Resident Evil but like always you guys delivered with a 30-minute long Resident Evil showcase talking about a bunch of Resident Evil news. Y’all talked about so many things I got to admit as a Devil May cry fan I’m kind of jealous.

They first showed off a new trailer for Resident Evil village and gave us a little bit of insight into what the protagonist Ethan Winters from RE7 is going to be facing in the sequel.

so far the game looks very impressive it looks like a spiritual succession to Resident Evil 4 but the only thing way more unsettling but At least you’re getting chased by hot vampire chicks if that’s your thing.

After that, they announced the release date of Resident Evil village it will be coming out on March 7th 2021 but you can pre-order it now.

They will be three different editions: the standard edition, deluxe edition, the collected edition

deluxe edition
collected edition

There is also a Resident Evil 7 and village bundle pack so if you didn’t play Resident Evil 7 here is your chance to get both

then they showed off Resident Evil gameplay and I have to say it looks like Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 4 had a baby.

Later on, they announce an exclusive PS5 demo called maiden where you try to escape the castle without being detected similar to the Resident Evil 7 demo so don’t expect any combat but I highly recommend checking it out because it gives you a few hints as to where the stories going. You get your first introduction to the vampire ladies that the Internet won’t shut up about lol

Then they announce reverses and pretty much the whole Resident Evil community just facepalm because it’s multiplayer versus game that no one really wanted… Except me

Only one cheering gif

Following that, they announce that there will be exclusive Resident Evil content in Tom Clancy: The Division 2 So make sure you get your hands on the costumes.

Go go go gif

One other thing they announced was the Resident Evil infinite darkness Netflix CGI movie. They didn’t give any release date but they did give us a little bit of information that it takes place a few years after Resident Evil 4 and Leon and Claire from Resident Evil 2 will be the main protagonists

And that’s pretty much it when it came on too the showcase it was definitely cool and I can’t wait to play Resident Evil 8 even though I know I’m going to be scared out of my mind.

Apology not accepted… Yet

I always tell people communication is the key to any successful relationship. But it seems some people still can’t grasp this basic concept, and sadly CD Projekt Red is one of those companies because they recently came out and apologize and explain why the game is such a mess, and I got to say…

Recently CD Projekt Red made a video apologizing to the fans for not being clear about the game being so buggy and being a mess and providing a road map on how they plan to fix the game.

I know they said that they want to try and work hard to earn the players Trust back and apologize but in the words of Kratos.

You can’t possibly tell me you did not know that the game was a mess. Clearly, by looking at it, you can see that the game needed another three to six months to get it done and the simple fact that they think the PC version is good when there’s tons of bug and tons of frame rate issues pisses me off.

But we will see what happens, but they have a lot of work to do so far.

Wait, Microsoft tries to buy Nintendo? WHAT!?

Your local game store and finding out the next Mario game coming to the next Xbox or gears of war six will include Samus from the Metroid series. Well, it almost happened because Microsoft almost bought Nintendo. Let that sink in.

In the article by Engadget. Talks about the history of the Xbox and Microsoft’s first adventures into gaming and one of the standout moments of their past was when they approach Nintendo about an acquisition. The acquisition would have been Microsoft making the hardware while Nintendo would make the game sounds interesting, right?

The problem with that idea is that Microsoft never made a console. Nintendo is one of if not the biggest video game companies ever made, so telling them that their hardware sucks and you would like to buy them was a bad call and caused everybody in the room to bust out laughing for an hour… I repeat… AN HOUR OF NINTENDO LAUGHING AT YOU… If that’s not embarrassing, I don’t know what is.

I’m glad this didn’t ruin their relationship because they now are two of the biggest video game companies in the world and sometimes work together on a project.

I guess the story’s moral is don’t go into a business meeting thinking you know everything and disrespecting the company you’re trying to be in business with.

Bat Family Assemble

If there’s one DC character that I respect a lot is Batman, but what if you made a video game that I had nothing to do with Batman, and it’s just his sidekicks? Well, I guess you would get Gotham knight, and I got to say I’m looking forward to it after finding out you could play the whole game start to finish with a friend.

And this latest article by GameSpot Warner Bros Montreal basically had to remake the Gotham City and combat that originally was displayed in Arkham Knight and Arkham origins just so you could play with friends, and I got to say it’s pretty impressive.

That being said, I do have my concerns only because this is not rocksteady studio that’s making this game who did the previous three Arkham games. This is being made by the team who made Arkham origins, and I have to be honest, I really am not a fan of that development team.

But we’ll see

CD Projekt Red you’ve been served

Imagine you make a game that’s been anticipated for almost seven to eight years when it comes out, and it’s a buggy mess. Then your game gets taken off the PlayStation Store, and now you’re being sued for lying to investors and misleading gamers. Jesus, these guys can’t catch a break

According to the article from polygon CD Projekt red, the developers of cyberpunk 2077 are being taken to court in the U.S. over claims that since the was extremely buggy, especially on the PS4 and the Xbox One version should have been known to the public and especially investors. Still, since they withheld that information, they are now being sued, so I hope CD projet Red has a good lawyer because this will be one hell of a battle.

I feel bad for the CD Projekt Red development team though they slave years to make this game the best possible. Now not only is it being hated by the community (some parts of the community love it), but now you’re about to be sued, and who knows the outcome of this whole scenario. The only thing I can help with is that it doesn’t lead to people losing their jobs.

KFC has joined the Console War and they’re bringing Fried Chicken

Have you ever wanted to hold fried chicken on your PC while playing Fortnite at the same time? Well, the KFC gaming console is for you? So get ready to Chow down and play some games.

Last month KFC announced that they would be making a gaming console (more PC than anything) that will include a chicken chamber so you can store and warm up your chicken or whatever you put in the system.

Also included in the pc is an Intel ghost Canyon i9 compute element and an Asus 2070 (apparently) graphics card, and 2 Seagate Barracuda 1TB SSD

Based on everything I looked up, I got to admit this has to be the silliest idea I’ve ever seen; however, depending on how much it’s priced, it would be a nice PC to get if you don’t have that much space in your room and you need a small PC. It’s still too silly though
